All coat racks are finished with three coats of interior clear-coat Varathane that will not yellow or fade. The hardware is brass and the rack is made by the artist. The color of stain may vary and is selected to complement the art work. The pecks are removed to reduce the shipping cost. Just use some wood glue to assemble the rack.
